Bibb County Sheriff's Office investigating shooting death in south Macon, per report

They say the shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

MACON, Ga. — A man is dead after being shot in south Macon, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office

The release says deputies responded to a call on the 3700 block of Spencer Circle around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. They found a man in one of the homes who had been shot, according to the report.

They say the man was taken to a local hospital, where he died. His identity has not been released yet, as his family has not been contacted. 

Bibb County investigators are still working on finding out what led to the shooting, per the report. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers.
