Man dead after East Macon shooting, BSO says | Second victim in stable condition

They say the shooting happened around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Johnson and Wallace Road.

MACON, Ga. — Two people were shot in East Macon on Monday, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The release says a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old man were shot at the intersection of Wallace Road and Johnson Road around 7:17 p.m. Monday night.

They say the 23-year-old was found unresponsive at the scene, and was transported to a local hospital. He died shortly afterward, according to the report. His name has not been released.

The second gunshot victim is in stable condition, per the report.
