Fire inside Macon restaurant forces a temporary closure

It's currently unclear how the fire got started

MACON, Ga. — A restaurant in Macon is temporarily shutting its doors due to a fire.

Guitarras Mexican Grill announced on Facebook that, due to an overnight fire, they're forced to temporarily close their Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard location. They did not say how the fire was started.

The said in the post that the restaurant is currently "deemed non-functional."

"A much as we would have loved to open our doors today, we cannot," they said in the post.

The restaurant did say that their Thomaston Road location is still open during its normal hours.

They added that they'll continue to provide updates to when they can reopen.

"Thank you all for your continued support," they said. "We feel so blessed to have such amazing and understanding clientele."
