MACON, Ga. — A 17-year-old confessed to shooting a man in Bloomfield on Monday, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say Cris Yair Blanco surrendered himself to deputies, and was interviewed about the death of Baldwin County native Gabreon Harrison.
Blanco was later taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with murder. He is being held without bond.
The release said Harrison, 20, was found at the 2400 block of Holland Drive around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Coroner Leon Jones said he was shot in the back of the head.
No one else was injured.
Paramedics responded and took him to a hospital for treatment.
Jones later pronounced Harrison dead around 1:20 p.m. Next of kin has been notified.
