HAWKINSVILLE, Ga. — A teen is in critical condition after a shooting in Hawkinsville, according to a press release from the GBI.
They say around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office was called out to a home about a shooting.
When deputies arrived at MLK Jr. Boulevard, they found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
He is in critical condition.
The release says the shooting started during a block party with an "extremely large crowd present."

Once the investigation is complete, it will be given to the Oconee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review.
