Incident reports offer new details in string of deadly shootings in Macon

The incident reports paint a better picture of what transpired in some of the shootings, but others just confirm what we already knew.

MACON, Ga. — Just off the heels of a deadly week in Macon-Bibb County, a series of incident reports from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office are offering new details about the string of deadly shootings.

Some of the narratives — where law enforcement outlines what they discovered in their initial investigation — are more expansive while others mainly confirm what we've already been told.

But here's what these incident reports show:

Monday 11:00 p.m.

Two men attempting to rob a store on 1090 Eisenhower Parkway left Randall Perchelli fighting for his life after being shot, according to an incident report.

The sheriff's office would later confirm on Friday that Perchelli died from his injuries, four days later.

The incident report reveals that the sheriff's office was notified by two men who attempted to get into the store to play the slot machines. They attempted to hit the buzzer to be let in, but their calls to get in were left without a response.

They then looked over to the counter and saw Perchelli lying behind the counter bleeding.

They called the sheriff's office which found Perchelli with a singular gunshot wound to the head. The sheriff's office said they also saw the bathroom mirror shattered.

Perchelli was shot during the robbery. The surveillance footage showed two men — later identified as 46-year-old Travis Arnes Warren and 31-year-old Andre Willis III — robbing the facility. They were later arrested and charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and then murder after Perchelli died on Friday.

They say one of the men held the door open and another man ran into the store. He was wearing an orange T-shirt with VP on the back, and he was wearing a gue glove on his right hand, which he held the gun in, the incident report says.

After allegedly shooting Perchelli, the man ran into one of the side rooms and grabbed an unknown amount of cash and then ran away on foot.

Tuesday 1 a.m.

51-year-old David Maynard Morris Jr. was shot and killed behind a house on Andrews Drive near Pio Nono Avenue while attempting to break into a man's workshop, a Bibb County incident report shows.

The incident report reveals that the man had went to his shop because he and his son had just gotten into an argument. While he was in his shop's bathroom, three men forced their way into the shop while flashing firearms.

The man then fired, striking Morris just below the neck, according to the incident report.

The other three men then attempted to carry the man away, but eventually, they dropped him and continued to flee, the report said.

Morris was then pronounced dead just after 2:00 a.m. by Ronnie Miley with the Bibb County Coroner's Office.

36-year-old Eric Ivan Searcy-Bryson was shot and killed while attempting to break into a car while a woman was sleeping at the Riverview Hotel at 205 Broadway in south Macon, authorities say.

According to an incident report, they say they arrived and recovered the weapon and signed it over to the crime lab.

Wednesday 3:30 a.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to Haven Inn and Suites at 107 Holiday Drive North off  Riverside Drive. The deputy arrived and found a person shot and several people standing around him, the incident report said.

It says the deputy checked the pulse of the man, 28-year-old Anthonio Dewayne McNeill, and couldn't find it. The fire department and a community ambulance also arrived and "started working on the male subject."

The deputy secured the scene and asked if anyone had seen or heard anything. All the bystanders said was they heard three to four shots being fired, the incident report said.

They found several shell casings around the McNeill.

McNeill was found to have a wound on the right side of his body and armpit air, one gunshot wound on his right forearm and another in his left hand.

The incident report does not offer an idea of what led up to the shooting.

Wednesday: 4:30 a.m.

A 23-year-old man was found in the 3100 block of Raurk Road with a wound to the head, which they believed came from a gunshot,  according to an incident report.

The man, later identified as Brian Rashad Obama, was pronounced dead.

While the deputy called Emergency Management Services, Obama "was beyond lifesaving measures and he was pronounced deceased at the scene."

They said there were no other details available.

Wednesday 5:30 a.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says that they found 42-year-old Nathaniel Fuller shot and killed in a blue Chevrolet Blazer. Fuller crashed into the backyard of a Macon home in the 2000 block of Winston Drive near Eisenhower Parkway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

They believe he was shot while driving on Eisenhower Parkway near Heron Street and the vehicle rolled into and through the rear chainlink fence of a house on Winston Drive. The vehicle then came to a rest, according to the incident report.

But the incident report reveals that the car did not belong to Fuller and instead belonged to another man. They said it was unclear if the vehicle was stolen.
