People flock out for Vote Early Day rally in Macon

The event had plenty of voting resources and various organizations to help people stay informed when they participate in early voting

MACON, Ga. — Early voting for the 2024 election is fully underway and Go Vote GA elected to hold a fun event to celebrate.

The event, known as a "United to Vote Early" rally, was held on Vote Early Day, which is a civic holiday focused on helping every voter know how, where and when they can vote early.

The rally had several people to offer voter education resources to those interested. They also brought out multiple organizations like ProGeorgia, Represent Georgia, Vote Riders, Black Voters Matter and Black Renaissance Georgia to speak on voter issues and access to the ballot box.

Go Vote GA also provided several resources. Some of these resources included assistance with checking voter registration status, finding their polling locations and using their Ballot Builder tool to create a sample ballot.

Alongside the several resources available, the event also brought fun activities as well. There was free food, games, live entertainment and "family-oriented fun." DJ Slim also provided live music.

The event was held at the Harriet Tubman African American Museum and ran from 12 to 3 p.m.
