Christmas came early: Downtown Milledgeville hosts Christmas in July Market

The event was headlined by over 30 different vendors and a few food trucks, alongside Santa Claus himself

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Christmas came early in downtown Milledgeville.

Milledgeville Main Street hosted the downtown Milledgeville Christmas in July Market on Saturday.

On 127 East Hancock Street, people gathered to enjoy a festive celebration in the middle of summer.

Over 30 vendors and two food trucks came out to sell various gifts and food.

Glo’s Thighs & Pies, Devereux Crab Shack and Kona Ice came out to sell food, while restaurants and various shops downtown offered various deals to those that came out.

Santa himself also made an appearance. The release noted that he traveled all the way from Hawaii to stop by and accept early requests for Christmas gifts.

The release also encouraged everyone to come out to take advantage of the various specials from each store so people can do some early Christmas shopping.

Artist Garrett Cox will round out the day with a live concert from 4-6 p.m.

The event itself ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
