MACON, Ga. — The Museum of Arts and Sciences featured some scaly friends on Saturday.
The museum on Forsyth Road held a Reptile Day for people of all ages.
With the price of admission, guests could take part in several educational and reptile themed activities. Museum members could take part for free.
Over 400 people were there in just the first few hours of the event.
Several kids alongside their parents, grandparents or guardians came out to enjoy a wide variety of activities.
The Southeastern Reptile Rescue was a key part of the event, as they held and hosted several of the activities and programs.
There was a camouflage chameleon arts and crafts table for everyone to take advantage of.
There was also another table with gator skins, turtle shells and other snake skins that people in attendance could feel.
The museum set up an area where attendees could watch handlers with the animals.
There were plenty of reptiles, including a bald python, alligators and crocodiles and several different types of tortoises.
The event ran from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
