Man dead after hit by car in Dodge County, coroner says

EMPIRE, Ga. — A man was hit and killed by a car on State Route 87 North near Empire, Georgia early Saturday morning, according to Dodge County coroner Joe Smith.

Smith said that Chris Snelgrove, 30, was found dead on Cochran Highway around 1 a.m. on Saturday. Next of kin has been informed.

Smith did not say if it was a hit and run. 13WMAZ has reached out to the Georgia State Patrol for further information, but have not heard back.
