MACON, Ga. — It's Friday and you know what time it is? It is time to talk about some fried foods!
This Fried Food Friday we take you to a soul food staple.
Dawson's Kitchen has been serving Macon for several years now, and lots of folks line up when their doors open to get mouthwatering fried chicken.
Miss Patsy Bivins makes the southern staple.
She has been at Dawson's for almost 26 years now, and she works hard as the kitchen manager.
When we asked what makes her chicken so special, she had only one thing to say:
"Love. Love. You have to love what you're doing, and do it right," she said.
She said that people enjoying her food means the world to her, and she brings a light to her life.
"When they tell me how much they love it and stuff like that, that's the best part about it," she recalled.
She says that anyone who comes and tries her food will definitely be back for more.
"Anybody who's been here who tried my fried chicken - they'll be back," she said.
You can find Dawson's Kitchen at 3360 Brookdale Avenue in Macon if you want to stop in for a plate of chicken.
