MACON, Ga. — You won't have to fight for your right to party at this Macon bakery. They have just the thing to help you celebrate!
Tommy's Bakery has been serving Macon for several years now, and is a go-to spot for sweet treats.
Aside from their usual selection, they offer something a bit more unique - a 12-inch giant donut that is worth celebrating.
Their 'party donut' can be made with lots of flavors and toppings, all to your liking.
Owner Tommy Sadler says he came up with the donut after someone asked him if he could make one.
"It's something I came out with about a year ago. I had somebody that wanted a big donut and wanted to know if I could do one. So I said 'yeah!' and I did a little research and experimenting and came out with this 12-inch donut, and it really caught on," he said.
He went on to say that people like it because it's the perfect alternative to a birthday cake - and maybe even better.
"If you want something that's really a lot better than a birthday cake, you need to really try this thing. You can get multiple flavors and that's a big plus, with a cake you just get one or two flavors," he said.
If you want to try a party donut for yourself, you can find Tommy's at 5580 Thomaston Road, Suite 10 in Macon.
The party donut is $15.99, and Tommy says to make sure to let him know if you heard about it from this story if you buy one.
Tommy's also has an $8 lunch special every day, and you can find out what they are serving by checking out their Facebook page.
