Macon on My Mind day celebrates and promotes Central Georgia businesses

Over 10 different businesses are in attendance at Carolyn Crayton park alongside food trucks and other activities

MACON, Ga. — Macon’s local businesses are being promoted and celebrated on Saturday.

Visit Macon is hosting Macon on My Mind day at Carolyn Crayton park. The event was set up to help locals learn more about the various businesses in the city.

Perry was also represented at the event.

Lake Lambert, the Mobile Visitor Center Manager, said they are hoping for 200-300 people to attend.

With tourism being a big part of the community, Visit Macon wanted to showcase the various places to visit and things to do in Central Georgia.

"Macon is on a lot of people's minds as we were recently named 'Top 10 Best Places to Visit in 2024' by CNN, and, we have a spotlight on our city awaiting the highly anticipated 'Georgia's First National Park,’” Visit Macon's Director of Visitor Services Kimberly Chambliss said. "We want to provide our community with resources that allow them to learn more about the places our visitors love and allow them to be the best advocates for tourism as well. And, plus, who doesn't love free admission and fun!"

Businesses like Carrabba's and Hotel 45 are present alongside representatives from the Ocmulgee Mounds.
