MACON, Ga. — Heavy rain and gusty winds caused power outages, traffic delays, and flooding around Macon.
The rain caused some parts of downtown to flood.
"It's miserable. I've been out walking around in this rain in Macon, Georgia all day long," says Bill McQuarter.
Bay Street had several inches of water covering part of the road, as water gushed down the side of a bridge.
April Reeves says, "I get very nervous when it rains." She lives off Carey Drive, and her yard saw its fair share of the rain.
"I mean, it looks like we are on a lake, and every time it rains like this, I'm afraid our house is going to get flooded again," says Reeves.
About 200 neighbors around the Wimbish Hill area saw power outages, and outages weren't just in homes.

Macon streetlights went out at the intersection of Maynard and Emory streets.
While the rain seems never-ending, people hold out for some sunny days.
"In a few weeks, we're going to get some really nice days. That's the way the weather is in Georgia," says Reeves.
