MACON, Ga. — Football Friday Night's regular season is slowly reaching the end.
Many teams only have two or three games left in their season, which means they are running out of chances to make a final push for the playoffs.
Others, like Houston County, are looking to win games against tough opponents to increase their standing in their respective regions. The Bears will take on Thomas County Central to determine who'll be the higher seed in GHSA's AAAAA classification's Region 2.
Teams like Perry and Warner Robins will take on regional opponents Cairo and Benedictine to improve their spots. Central Georgia teams will also face off to improve their playoff positioning.
Telfair County has a chance to continue its undefeated region streak with a win over Dooly County. Both Wheeler County and Wilcox County, who are in the same region, each only have one loss. They'll also face off to determine who'll contend for the top spot with Telfair County.
Like Telfair County, Brentwood is also undefeated in its region and can extend that streak with a win against Gatewood. FPD and Tattnall are both undefeated in their region and will face off to take first place just before heading into the playoffs.
