WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man was shot in the arm early Tuesday morning after two armed men broke into a Warner Robins home and demanded money from the residents, according to a press release from the Warner Robins Police Department.
But they say the suspects also attempted to break into two other homes on Jackie Boulevard, which is off of North Houston Road.
The two victims "were awoken by a loud crashing noise coming from the front door" of their home. Then, moments later, two masked men barged into their bedroom with guns, the department said in the press release.
They say it happened just before 2:15 a.m.
The victims told police that the two suspects demanded money from them, and they also say several items were stolen during the course of the burglary.
However, before the suspects left the scene, one of the people inside the home was shot in the forearm, the press release said. They say he was taken the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Investigators also say two suspects attempted to break into two other homes in the same block, but they were unable to make entry.
The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating the shooting. If you have any information, you are asked to call the police department at 478-392-5380 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 478-742-2330.
In the press release, they say there were children in the home when the home invasion took place.
