Two brothers shot, killed in McRae-Helena during fight; uncle charged with murder

The GBI is now investigating.

MCRAE-HELENA, Ga. — Two brothers are dead after an argument and shooting in Telfair County, according to McRae-Helena Police Chief Glenn Giles. 

He says it happened around 8:45 p.m. on 9th Street. 

Giles says the brothers Terry and Carlos Raiford argued with each other and both ended up shot and killed. 

The chief says the two brothers were around 40-years-old. 

Now, Giles says that the brother's uncle, Mark Jones, has been charged with murder, but Jones' role in the shooting is still under investigation. 

The GBI is now investigating.
