Bibb County Sheriff's Office investigating Sunday morning robbery at convenience store in west Macon

A woman entered the Macon Food Mart wearing a yellow sweater, jeans, white sneakers and a mask on her face and demanded money

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that happened at a convenience store in west Macon, a press release said.

The release said, around 9 a.m. on Sunday, a woman entered the Macon Food Mart on Mercer University Drive. She was wearing a yellow sweater, jeans, white sneakers and a mask that covered her face.

The woman pulled out a gun, pointed it at the store clerk and demanded money. The release said she took an undisclosed amount before leaving the store. 

No one was hurt during the incident.
