WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The annual Planes and Trains event is back in Warner Robins to kick off the holiday season.
If you're looking for some family fun during the Thanksgiving break, the free exhibit will be open at the Museum of Aviation in the Century Flight Hangar building.
You can see miniature trains planes and even a Christmas village display.
The Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club says you can come out and have fun searching for tiny items throughout the large display. Each section has fun themes like a circus or Thomas the Train.
"We represent all the various scales, which are the sizes of models. From the little teeny tiny T scale, that's hardly bigger than your thumb, all the way up to the large G scale or garden scale. A locomotive is approximately a foot long, so they're a good size," club President Jim Kerr said.
Kerr says people will also have the opportunity to enter into a raffle for a train set.
"We just want to network and offer something that is fun to the community," he added.
You can view the display from November 20 - 26. On weekdays they are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
They will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
