WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — All aboard! The Planes and Trains event took flight on Saturday in Warner Robins, as many people showed up to view miniature model planes, trains, and more.
November is national rain month, and each year the Middle Georgia Railroad Club hosts this event to celebrate.
They started the event back in 2008, and the club currently has around 30 members, but they are taking more.
The event included miniature trains, planes, and even a small Christmas Village!
Wooden trains were for sale, and folks could see various themed models, like Thomas the Tank engine or a 1950's Drive In.
In a statement about the event, the Railroad club says that the tradition started when The Museum of Aviation wanted a train to run around their Christmas tree.
The railroad club was able to put up a few more displays, and over time more people came to see the trains.
The Museum decided to ask for an event to be planned again, and coordinated with the group to create the annual tradition, and they've been on display ever since!
The event lasted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
