PEACH COUNTY, Ga. — All the thunder and rain seen with the storms on Tuesday made life rough for some people who live along a dirt road in Peach County.
A viewer by the name of Rodney Wagonhoffer sent us a tip about it.
His 80-year-old mother and her husband both live there and says they have to go through the worst of the dirt and mud to get to their house.
Gassett Road in Peach County sits off of Highway 341, and Wagonhoffer says it floods every time it rains. It basically traps his family at home anytime it rains.
Wagonhoffer says there is no way of getting emergency services to this family if they are needed, and he says the mailman even refuses to deliver anything until the muddy road dries again.
In the past, Wagonhoffer and his mother have asked the county for help, but so far they have had no luck.
Peach County's Public Works Department referred us to Peach County Post 4 Commissioner Martin Mosely. Mosely said he is unaware of the problem but will try to work together with public works to solve it.
WMAZ will provide an update once the county gets back to us.
