WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The City of Warner Robins' inaugural Burger Week is fast approaching and the contestants are officially set.
Since the initially announcement in June, the participants have rapidly increased to 23. The week itself will last from Sept. 22 - Sept. 28.
“We are excited to host the first-ever Warner Robins Burger Week,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said. “This event not only celebrates our vibrant local dining scene but also encourages residents and visitors to discover the culinary talents and creativity of our local chefs.”
While many restaurants, like Black Barley, Tap & Pour, Props and Big Picture Burgers make an expected appearance, several others are a bit of a surprise. Restaurants like El Mural, Salsa's, and Sushi Thai will join others in adding international flavors to the weeks menu.
Little Sweeties Cakery and Wilson's Bakery will provide sweet versions of burgers to give people enjoying Burger Week a savory twist. Even cafes like Between Friends Coffee and Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Café are offering burgers with a breakfast related theme.
The City of Warner Robins announced that each burger is $10, does not come with a side or a drink and encouraged everyone to tip. Voting will take place and the winner would be crowned sometime after the final day.
The winner will have "Burger Bragging Rights" until the next Burger Week in 2025.
The city also said that people cannot order the burger to-go and that substitutions are not allowed, as to highlight the restaurants themselves and their creations.
There will also be a digital passport, which allows people who try as many burgers as possible to receive prizes. You can find the passport on the City of Warner Robins' website
People can check into the Warner Robins Burger Week Pass while at the restaurant. The more burgers you eat, the more points you'll receive. The prizes are listed below.

Despite it being the first ever Burger Week in Warner Robins, Patrick has noted her excitement for the event and has encouraged everyone to take part in trying each and every burger offered by the International City.
"During Burger Week, it's our duty to 'ketchup' with friends, 'relish' the moment and 'mustard' the courage to try every burger in town!" she said in a statement
