FORT VALLEY, Ga. — One person is dead and another was arrested after shots were fired during a fight in Fort Valley, according to Police Chief DJ Flores.
He says it happened on Sunday around 10:16 p.m. in the Royal Town Homes Apartments on Orange Street in Fort Valley.
Flores says it started when some teens got into a fight and when adults arrived the situation continued to become physical.
One person was shot and taken to the hospital where they later died from their injuries.
The suspected shooter left the scene before police arrived, Flores said.
One other person was arrested in connection to the shooting.
Flores said the Fort Valley Police Department is still looking for the shooter.
