One injured after shooting in Fort Valley

It happened in the 110 block of E. Church Street.

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — One person is hurt after a shooting in Fort Valley on Saturday, according to a press release from the Fort Valley Police Department.

They say units responded to a home in the 1100 block of E. Church Street about someone with a gunshot wound. 

When they got there victims were already being taken to Peach County Hospital by their mother.

When officers spoke to the victim they said they were sitting in the breezeway when a white SUV circled the area and began firing at them.

As the SUV left, people inside the car also fired shots near the front of the apartment complex.

One of the victims was shot in the arm.

No other information is available at this time.
