Victim identified after fatal crash in Warner Robins

Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Division is handling the investigation.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — One person is dead and another injured after a crash on Thursday in Warner Robins, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams.

He says it happened around 2 a.m. in the 500 block of Pleasant Hill Road.

The Warner Robins Police Department responded to the scene and found a 2005 Nissan Titan overturned and resting on the driver's side in the wooded area just north of the Warner Robins Little Theatre, a press release says.

They say the car was traveling North on South Pleasant Hill Road and crossed the centerline of the roadway. As the car continued on the road, it crossed back over the centerline and then onto the east side of the road.

The release says the car hit a utility pole, overturned and then continued traveling north, crossing the parking lot of the Warner Robins Little Theatre. The car stopped in the tree line on the north side of the parking lot.

When officers arrived the driver, 35-year-old Cristina Rivera, was found in the wood line a short distance from the car with injuries to her leg. The passenger, 37-year-old Omri Troy, was still inside the car and pronounced dead on the scene.

Rivera was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

The Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Division is continuing its investigation into this accident. If anyone has pertinent information relating to this incident, please contact Ofc. Robert Greene at 478-293-1038 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers.
