Man taken into custody following a standoff with Warner Robins Police Department

The man asked for medical attention and was placed on a gurney by officers after he crawled out of the house.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Update 2:00 p.m.: The man has been taken into custody for medical treatment.  Officers slid a phone inside the house to negotiation with Johnny Knight. Knight eventually asked for medical attention. He crawled out of the house and into the driveway where he was placed on a gurney by officers. 

The Warner Robins Police Department is asking residents to avoid the 200 block of Wisconsin Avenue near Northside Drive due to a standoff in progress, according to a release.

Two men got into a fight early Tuesday morning at 201 Johns Road near North Davis Drive. 

During the fight, Johnny Knight allegedly hit another man in the face with a gun several times causing serious injuries. 

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Knight left the scene and went to a family member’s house at 209 Wisconsin Avenue, less than a mile from where the fight took place. 

Officers arrived on the scene at Wisconsin Avenue but have not been able to make contact with anyone inside the home. The Warner Robins SWAT team is on the scene.
