OGLETHORPE, Ga. — A man is dead at Macon State Prison after a fight, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
They say it happened on Friday, "as a result of an altercation,"
The man, Devontae Young, was serving 10 years for an armed robbery in Spalding County.
His body has been turned over to the county coroner and will then be taken to the GBI Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
The death is being investigated by the GDC’s Office of Professional Standards, as standard procedure. They say no additional details are available, as the investigation is ongoing.
