Man injured in drive by shooting in downtown Macon, sheriff's office says

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened around 2 a.m.

MACON, Ga. — A man was injured in a drive by shooting in downtown Macon early Sunday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

They said a 22-year-old man was shot within the 400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

They added that the man was transported to Atrium Health Navicent and is in stable condition.

The sheriff's office currently does not know the identity of the shooter. The shooting is still under investigation. 13WMAZ will update this story as more information becomes available.
