Man arrested for shooting at north Macon apartments

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Timothy Green was arrested at his home and was also the victim in a previous shooting.

MACON, Ga. — A man is in jail after allegedly shooting at people in a car at a north Macon apartment complex Tuesday night.

A release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Timothy Green was arrested for the shooting at the Vistas Apartments off Arkwright Road.

He was taken into custody at his home in Gray with the help of the Jones County deputies, the release says.

It was reported around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday that a man was leaving his apartment and got into a car that was picking him up. Once inside, the sheriff's office says that's when the car was hit by gunshots. 

Green was also the victim in a previous shooting at the same apartment complex that happened less than two weeks earlier on Jan. 29.

In that shooting, he was allegedly shot in the right shoulder and ear after a fight.

Green was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
