MACON, Ga. — At least one person was injured Wednesday afternoon after a shooting at a north Macon apartment complex.
That’s according to Sgt. Clay Williams with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
He says investigators are currently at the scene of the shooting at The Vistas apartment complex in the 4000-block of Arkwright Road.
He says it happened after what he called ‘an altercation,’ and it left a 19-year-old with two gunshot wounds to the shoulder and ear.
A release from the sheriff's office says it happened in the parking lot near the 12 building, an an unknown man was involved in the altercation with the teen.
The release says the teen drove his car into three other cars as he was leaving the scene. No one was in them.
The unnamed victim went to the Medical Center, Navicent Health for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
The sheriff's office says another person, a 20-year-old man, with a gunshot wound arrived at Coliseum Northside to be treated around the same time. It's unclear if his injuries were related to the same altercation.
No one else was injured, and there is no information about the suspect at this time, the release says.
