Woman dead after accident on Shurling Drive, sheriff's office says

A release said the accident happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday

MACON, Ga. — A woman is dead after a single vehicle accident in east Macon on Sunday, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office press release.

The release said Jahauna Jackson, 24, was driving a 2019 Toyota Camry in the 2300 block of Shurling Drive. It added she was on the road sometime around 2 a.m. early Sunday morning.

The release said Jackson lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin has been notified by the coroners office.

The incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with more information can call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
