Bibb Sheriff's Office asking for help finding suspect in Dollar General shooting

The man is accused of shooting a woman in the parking lot of a Houston Avenue Dollar General on Feb. 17.

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a suspect in a Feb. 17 shooting at a Macon Family Dollar, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

They say 19-year-old Daveion Hopkins is wanted for shooting a woman in the parking lot of the Family Dollar on 3567 Houston Avenue. 

Hopkins, who is from Macon, currently has a warrant for his arrest on aggravated assault charges, the press release said.

The sheriff's office released a photo of Hopkins in the media release.

The shooting is still under investigation. They say if you know where Hopkins is, you can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
