Traffic stopped on I-75 North after car crash in Macon

No serious injuries were reported in the collision, per the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

MACON, Ga. — An 18-wheeler crashed near the I-75 exit on Bass Road, according to a report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The report says the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and between five or six cars were involved in the pile-up. At this time, no serious injuries have been reported.

The Georgia State Patrol is working the scene of the crash. According to a 13WMAZ reporter at the scene, drivers are being directed to get off the interstate before the Bass Road exit.

This wasn't the only large car crash in the Central Georgia area on Tuesday. Earlier in the day in Wilkinson County, two 18-wheelers crashed into each other, resulting in a fiery wreck.

Wilkinson County Coroner Billy Matthews says no one was killed in the Wilkinson County crash.
