UPDATE: All lanes on I-75 northbound near I-16 are clear, according to GDOT's 511

Here are your latest traffic updates.

MACON, Ga. — All lanes of I-75 northbound at I-16 eastbound are now clear,  according to the Georgia Department of Transportation's 511 website.

It comes after rain swept through Central Georgia Tuesday evening.

According to the site, it said the anticipated end time for the shutdown at I-75 Northbound near I-16 was expected to be at 11:45 p.m., but that time was pushed back to 1 a.m.

They say the flooding started at around 9:30 p.m.

Also outside of Forsyth, 511 reports a blockage on I-75 Southbound near SR 42 due to a "road surface collapse" that multiple local and GDOT officials have confirmed does not exist.

On the website, it says that the "road surface collapse" closed all lanes at around 5:52 p.m., and they say it is not expected to be resolved until 5 p.m. on Wednesday. However, while 511 has those lanes blocked, both a GDOT spokesperson and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office say they are unaware of any shutdown.

A Monroe County Sheriff's sergeant called 13WMAZ around 11:15 p.m. to report — after visiting the location — traffic is flowing normally.

This was also confirmed by a GDOT spokesperson at 11 p.m.

"I just spoke with our teams all lanes are open in that area. It is open and deemed safe to travel on as drivers need to use caution to drive during inclement weather as they normally would with our drive alert arrive alive campaign.  They will update the 511 app accordingly," GDOT spokesperson Gina Snider said.

As of 11:15 p.m, the incident has not been updated on 511.

Forsyth Fire Chief Kevin Bunn says that there are no closures at the location after checking his cameras, which show lanes to be moving just fine in Monroe County.

It is unclear why the closure is listed on the 511 website.
