MACON COUNTY, Ga. — A 32-year-old man from Macon County was arrested after the GBI found he forced two female minors to "drink alcohol until they became sick," according to a press release from the GBI.
They say Edvardo Johnson of Oglethorpe was arrested on three separate charges: cruelty to children, reckless conduct and furnishing alcohol to a person under 21.
The press release says the Montezuma Police Department and the Macon County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI to assist in the investigation on May 6.
They say the two minors told their parents about Johnson allegedly forcing them to "drink alcohol until they became sick."
After a forensic interview, Johnson was booked into the Sumter County jail, the press release said. They hold inmates for Macon County.
Johnson faces two counts of cruelty to children, two counts of reckless conduct and two counts of furnishing alcohol to a person under the age of 21.
The GBI says the investigation is ongoing.
