18-year-old arrested in connection to fatal Macon shooting from September, BSO says

According to the original report, a 23-year-old man died shortly after the shooting, and a 17-year-old victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

MACON, Ga. — An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection to an East Macon shooting from late September, according to a report from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

They say that Devin DeLoach was arrested after Bibb County investigators - with help from the Jones County Sheriff's Office - identified DeLoach as a suspect in the September shooting of 23-year-old Dontavious Holsey at the intersection of Johnson Road and Wallace Road.

The report says Holsey was found unresponsive at the scene, and was transported to a local hospital. They say he died shortly after arriving.

According to the release, a 17-year-old gunshot victim was also transported to the hospital, and was in stable condition at the time of original reporting. No additional information has been released about his status.

The Sheriff's Office says DeLoach was arrested without incident at a home in Jones County. He has been charged with murder, and is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
