19-year-old dead after motorcycle crash in south Bibb, coroner says

Coroner Leon Jones said the accident happened around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — A teenager is dead following a motorcycle crash in south Bibb, coroner Leon Jones said.

Jones said Christopher Allen Jr., 19, was driving his motorcycle on Jones Road around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. He said Allen crashed his motorcycle in the side of a minivan at the intersection of Jones Road and School Road.

The coroner said Allen was taken to a Macon trauma center where he was pronounced dead around 1:45 p.m. Next of kin has been notified.

The Bibb County Sherriff's office said another motorcyclist, a 44-year-old female, was also involved in the accident was not hurt.

The crash is currently under investigation. Anyone with more information can call the Bibb County Sheriff's office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with a Fatality Investigator.
