Macon man arrested for allegedly breaking into vacant Kroger

With the help of deputies on patrol, investigators found a man inside of the air duct work on the roof.

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrested a Macon man after he allegedly broke into a vacant Kroger on Friday. 

According to a release from the sheriff's office, investigators saw someone going on to the roof of the Kroger located at 400 Pio Nono Avenue around 5:30 a.m. 

With the help of deputies on patrol, investigators found a man inside of the air duct work on the roof. 

They arrested 50-year-old Christopher Scott Stevenson after a short struggle. 

Stevenson was taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with burglary. He is being held without bond. 

He also had warrants from the Gordon Police Department and the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office.
