MACON, Ga. — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia will host a free summer feeding program on Tuesday, June 25.
This event, hosted at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia Murphy Felton Tindall Unit at the Buck Melton Center is a Food Service Kick-Off celebration. People from the Central Georgia community can come to have a free meal, and enjoy various activities held at the event.
The clubs are looking to feed families and children that may not have access to food in the summer months while schools are closed. They noted their mission is to provide meals to those that need it during the day.
They’ve teamed up with Happy Helpings and the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (Bright From The Start) to make their Summer Feeding Program happen.
While the Kick-Off Celebration is a bigger event, it’s not the only time the Boys & Girls Clubs will provide free meals for those in need.
From June 3 to July 19, they will provide free meals at 11 different locations through their Food Service Program.
Food will only be available during the times listed per location.
Children do not need to be members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia to take advantage.
