The event is part of Pittsburgh Steelers starting linebacker Bud Dupree's third annual First 48 charity weekend

MACON, Ga. — An NFL linebacker is in town to hold the 'Riding for a Cause' event in Macon on Sunday.

Pittsburgh Steelers starting linebacker Bud Dupree is holding the event at Central City Park in Downtown Macon as a part of his third annual First 48 charity weekend.

Different types of bikes, motorcycles, and three and four wheelers will be joining in on the fun.

"We all just come together, you know, just have fun," Dupree said.

There will be featured donations to the Boys and Girls Club of Macon and the Navicent Health Children's Hospital of Macon.

All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to charity.

Dupree says he wants to thank his hometown and to Central Georgia for the support.

"We just bring people together for one reason and that's to give back," Dupree said.

Check in is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday and takeoff is at 11:30 a.m.

Early-bird registration is over, but onsite registration will be available for $45 per driver and $25 per passenger. Participants must be 16 or older to ride.
