MACON, Ga. — The eighth week of Football Friday Night is here with a slate of Central Georgia teams going head-to-head. Here are the games we’re keeping an eye on in Week 8:
Warner Robins vs Benedictine (Tailgate 13)
Two GHSA AAAA powerhouses are facing off on Friday in McConnell-Talbert Stadium.
Warner Robins is entering with a 5-1 record on the season, and have rattled off five straight wins since a Week 1 loss to Lee County.
Meanwhile, Benedictine is 3-2, and have showcased a prolific offense so far this year.
Look for points to be plentiful when the Demons and Cadets collide.
Stratford vs First Presbyterian Day School
Week 8 will feature the North Macon rivalry matchup between Stratford and FPD, and there's a lot on the line in this one.
First-year Eagles head coach and his team have a 6-1 record so far, and a win on Friday could help them carry their momentum toward a playoff berth.
FPD is also entering with a 6-1 record, despite losing multiple key players from last year's state championship team.
The two schools have had many memorable matchups, and tonight's could be another headline grabber.
Dodge County vs Washington County
Dodge County is looking to stay perfect as they travel to Washington County to take on the Golden Hawks.
New head coach Phillip Brown has Dodge County rolling in this matchup, and they'll put their 6-0 record to the test against the Golden Hawks.
On the other side, Washington County started off the season slow, but they've won two straight matchups and will have homefield advantage at the House of Pain on Friday.
