Last day of Early Voting | Early voting totals in Georgia and what you need to know

Early voting has set records this election season. If you haven't voted early yet, there still is time.

MACON, Ga. — It's the last day of early voting in Georgia!

According to the Georgia Secretary of State's website, 3.7 million votes have been cast ahead of election day, which is over 51% of total active voters in Georgia voting early.

The Secretary of State's Office says that level of turnout is unprecedented.

But if you haven't early voted yet, there are still a few more hours to vote early.

After that, the last chance to cast your ballot will be on election day Tuesday.

Here's what you need to know about voting early.

What time must you be in line?

As long as you are in line at the time your early voting precinct closes, you are entitled under Georgia law to cast your ballot.

So if you don't leave the line, you can still cast your ballot.

How do you find your early voting location?

Unlike election day where you are assigned a specific precinct to cast your ballot, counties typically operate one or multiple early voting locations that all residents of a county can vote at.

You can often find them on your county's board of election website or by calling their office directly.

What time do early voting locations close today?

The hours of early voting locations can differ county by county, but in general, most locations are opening during business hours. That means they will close at 5 p.m.

However, the best way to find out is to call your local Board of Elections office.

What time do polls open on election day?

While the early voting hours can differ, under state law, polling place hours are consistent across Georgia.

Polls will open on Tuesday at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

How do you check what will be on your ballot ahead of time?

The Georgia MyVoter page just requires a small amount of information to check whether you are on the voter rolls along with what will be on your ballot when you show up to the polls.

All you have to do is go to this page right here (or mvp.sos.ga.gov).

On the page, you're asked just to provide a small amount of information: your first initial, last name, county and date of birth.

Once that's all been filled in, you just press submit.

You'll see a bunch of information, including whether you're registered, what your precinct and also your sample ballot.

You'll find that in your personal information section on the My Voter Page.
