Byron police arrest man after allegedly shooting woman in hand, police say

23-year-old Tellis Fudge Jr. turned himself in to the Dooly County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday

BYRON, Ga. — A man was arrested after a domestic violence shooting in Byron, according to a Byron Police Department press release.

They say 23-year-old Tellis Fudge Jr. turned himself into the Dooly County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday in connection to the shooting that happened on Monday.

The release said that Byron police officers found a woman shot in the hand at Martin Luther King Court in Byron on Monday. 

The department said she was shot during a "domestic violence incident."

Fudge is currently being held at the Peach County LEC for Aggravated Assault and Cruelty to Children.
