Broken water main reported near elementary school, Houston County EMS says

They say they first learned of the break around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — A water main broke in Houston County on Wednesday, according to a report from Houston County emergency services.

They say the water main broke near Eagle Springs Elementary School in Byron, and that they first responded to the scene around 5:15 p.m.

According to the report, crews were still working to repair the break at 6:45 p.m. They were unable to confirm the size of the break, and the amount of neighborhoods which would be affected by the water main.

They also couldn't confirm when the water line would be fully repaired.
