Warner Robins house fire sends one person to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation, fire department says

They say the fire was called in at around 2:40 p.m. on Thursday.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Two houses in Warner Robins caught on fire Thursday and a woman was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation, according to both the Warner Robins Fire and Police Departments.

They say the call came into the fire department just before 2:40 p.m. It happened in a residential area behind the Kroger on Russell Parkway.

According to a press release from the Warner Robins Police Department, the fire started in the backyard of a home 102 Crossing Place and then spread to 104 Crossing Place. Those two homes share a fence. When the fire department arrived, both houses were on fire, but the press release says the fire was quickly contained.

While the police department says no major injuries were reported, Warner Robins Fire Chief Ned Dixon said a woman was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation.

The Warner Robins Fire Department arson investigators responded to the scene along with the police investigative division. But right now, they don't know what exactly caused the fire, and Dixon says they are still investigating.

If you have any information, the police department asks you to call Detective Smith at 478-302-5380 or the Warner Robins Fire Department at 478-293-1020.
