MACON, Ga. — Comic fans gathered in Warner Robins for the 7th Annual Comic Con on Sunday.
Mario Russo, who owns Atlanta South Comic Cons, hosted the event at the Marriott on Carl Vinson Parkway.
He started the Warner Robins Comic Con in 2014 after fans reached out to him saying there was a need for the event in Central Georgia.
This year at the Comic Con, comic book artists, writers, and celebrities set up tables to showcase their work and meet with fans.
"It's a chance for people who can get their nerd on, their geek on, you know, to hang out, to talk to other people who do it, to talk to other writers and creators who do it," Russo said. "To meet other people who are actually in the industry and to have a really good time."
Russo says they are already planning for next year's event which will be in the first weekend of January each year.
