WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A Warner Robins woman pleaded guilty Monday morning to stabbing and killing her girlfriend in Houston County Superior Court, according to the Houston District Attorney's Office.
25-year-old Shaneka Renee Smith pleaded guilty to one count of malice murder after fatally stabbing her partner, 31-year-old Monis Howard-Roberts, in front of police in their townhouse back in December 2018.
The Houston District Attorney's Office says Smith was sentenced to life in a state penitentiary with the possibility of parole. She will be eligible for parole after serving a minimum of 30 years.
The office also says there was a history of domestic abuse between the two, and police arrested Smith on a misdemeanor days before the murder happened.
