Road closures for the Warner Robins Independence Day Concert

Gates open at 6 p.m. with entertainment from AJ the DJ. Fireworks will be at approximately 10 p.m.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — It's almost time to celebrate American freedom with fun, family and music. 

The Warner Robins Independence Day Concert is June 29 at 7 p.m. 

Gates open at 6 p.m. with entertainment from AJ the DJ. Fireworks will be at approximately 10 p.m. (Weather permitting and times are subject to change)

Gates for public entry: MLK Blvd, and S. Davis Drive.

Some roads will close leading up to the concert and there will be only a few places to park. Here is what you need to know. 

Road Closures

  • 4 p.m. – Demon Valley Dr. will be established as a NO PARKING ZONE.
  • 6 p.m. – MLK Blvd. from S. Davis Dr. to Pearl Stephens Way will be restricted to eastbound traffic flow. Please enter the venue area from S. Davis Dr. ONLY
  • 6:45 p.m. – S. Davis Dr. from MLK Blvd. to Demon Valley Dr. will be closed to all vehicular traffic & detours established. Pedestrian traffic on sidewalks will be allowed until the fireworks display begins.
  • 9:45 p.m. Demon Valley Dr. will be closed for the duration of the fireworks display

Gates for public entry: MLK Blvd, and S. Davis Drive.

There are 10 designated parking areas:

  • Union Grove Baptist
  • C.B. Watson School- Handicap
  • Warner Robins High School - Pickup/Dropoff/Uber/Lyft
  • Pearl Stephens School Area
  • Rumble Academy
  • Sacred Heart Catholic Church Complex
  • Robins Financial Credit Union
  • Middle Georgia State University
  • Commercial Circle Area
  • City of Warner Robins Municipal Complex

When is the concert? 

June 29 in the parking lot of McConnell-Talbert Stadium. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the festivities start at 7 p.m.

Who is Performing?

Enjoy pre-concert beats by local favorite AJ The DJ Entertainment 

Scott Stapp — the lead singer of Creed  and 70s classic Jefferson Starship whose hit "We Built This City" are headlining the concert.

Both acts had previously been slated to perform last July, but they were sidelined due to weather issues. Now, they'll be back in Central Georgia to help celebrate Independence Day with hopefully sunnier skies.

After the show, there will be a fireworks extravaganza!
