Here's what we know

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Warner Robins Police took an armed man into custody after he barricaded himself in an apartment Friday morning.

They say it happened at 6080 Lakeview Road, which is the address of Hawthorne Meadowview apartments.

The Warner Robins Police Department said in a press release that they received calls reporting an armed man attempting to break into apartments.  He was later identified as 28-year-old Michael Erwin.

The suspect, who also lives at the apartment complex, then retreated into his apartment, the press release said.

The Warner Robins Police says they set up a perimeter around the man's apartment — apartment number 3005 on the second floor — in an effort to get him to surrender to authorities.

A 13WMAZ reporter on the scene says SWAT Team was communicating with the suspect via loudspeaker.

At around 10:44 a.m., the man was arrested and the scene was cleared.

At this time, the Warner Robins Police say no shots were fired and no one was hurt.

If you have any information you can reach out to the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
