MACON, Ga. — The Macon NAACP held a press conference on Monday about concerns the organization has regarding voting in Macon.
Members say voters got incorrect ballots during the May primary election and according to them, they're still wrong.
"Someone is at fault and we have to make sure that, you know, it doesn't happen again. I'm saying this is a very, you know, we're coming up on an election in November. We have to get it right," Gwenette Westbrooks with the Macon NAACP said during the conference.
The organization is asking voters in District 3, 8 and 145 to double check when voting.
The state NAACP President Gerald Griggs says they're consulting with attorneys about this problem.
"We want to make sure they correct the ballot irregularities both from the previous primary and of course the run-off and we don't want to see this issue in the November primary," he said.
Griggs is encouraging anyone running into challenges to report it to the National Election Protection Coalition. Their number is 866-OURVOTE.
